Singapore Airlines x Mitch James Europe Long Road Home Tour

What an absolute wild ride! 

Mitch and I connected a few months ago over a beer, margarita & our mutual love for the Warriors.

We quickly bonded, and decided that I would come on his first headline WORLD TOUR & document the experience - and what an experience to say the least.

We were both lucky enough to fly AKL - LONDON with Singapore Airlines, premium economy over to London & business class on the way home. 

If you’ve ever flown long distances in economy class, you will appreciate the step-up in luxury.

SIA is renowned for having some of the best service in the aviation game & they did not disappoint! 

The food, comfort & overall experience was A-class. 

Having missed the game while clearing customs, a true highlight for MJ and I was on the way over where we were able to stream the Warriors on the high-speed internet some 30,000 ft in the air.

I was also able to smash out some much-needed editing, & settled into the unreal selection of movies! There’s something special about guilt-free relaxation on a long-haul flight.

MJ was opening for Calum Scott for his tour, before kicking off his own in Hamburg, Germany.

Naturally, there was an opportunity to go to Mykonos, Greece as a bit of a palette cleanser if you will. 

One of my favourite countries in the world! We then travelled show to show around the EU, truly one of the highlights of my life! 

Full rockstar living;. Hamburg, Cologne, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Glasgow & finished in proper Irish fashion in Dublin. 

The talent & work behind the scenes that musicians go through was a true eye-opener for me! So much newfound respect!

I had the pleasure of finishing up my 3 weeks of crazy travel with a 3 episode filming session with World Rugby, as part of the “Rugby Fit” series.

This was to wrap up Host v Host from the Southern Hemisphere work I’d been doing with the super rugby teams.

Greg O’Shea was the host up North, so World Rugby bought us together! Another WILD experience.

As you can imagine, a full 8-hour fitness shoot day I was absolutely spent, basically taxied straight to Heathrow Airport & jumped onto Singapore Air Boeing 777-300 business class.

This was the perfect way to finish one of the best trips of my life in absolute five-star COMFORT. What a treat! 

I basically slept the entire way from London - Singapore then rocked straight into the lux Kris Flyer Lounge & showered up! 

I tucked into some beautiful local cuisine & back onto the next business class flight Airbus A350-900 Singapore - AKL. 

Honestly, I would highly recommend any travel plans to look at Singapore Airlines – particularly those planning on covering some distance! I will certainly be back!
